Manila Traffic
Nice one about LA traffic. But you know it does not compare to Manila traffic. My poor son thought it would only take him 15 minutes to get to his cousin's house from the airport based on google maps. I warned him about the traffic but he didn't believe me. It took me a full two hours!!! He couldn't believe it. He was so depleted and exhausted that he just ate and slept when he got there and then he woke up early to head back to the airport because he didn't want to miss his flight to Copenhagen (he only had a lay-over in Manila and thought he had all this time to visit with his cousin).
We are coming back on Monday. We had sooo much fun here in the Philippines. On Friday, we took a tour of Cagayan de Oro and a nationwide travel show who happened to video the whole thing interviewed me in the end to ask me for my thoughts on Cagayan. The show airs next Friday. Then yesterday, we did a three-hour white water rafting thing and it was one of the best things I've ever done here in the Philippines. It was sooo beautiful (untouched nature all around us) and so much fun!
Blessings and love,
Pia

Less Patience
Hi Bro,
As I get older, I have less patience and seem to find more traffic.
Thanks for the TGIF! Have a good rest of the weekend.

From one of your dedicated readers
Hi! I enjoy your TGIF emails, but find that your narratives are often filled with negativity. I know you don't know me from Adam, and I would never tell you how to write your articles, but you put so much time and effort into your words and drawings, maybe you could take a look at your recent emails and consider a different spin? Often when I start reading I get put-off and close the email. Perhaps others are doing the same.
