I got a prayer request from a young man that went to school with my youngest son Kurt. His mother is at end of life and he’s beside himself. I sent him a message that I would put her in my prayers and that she was one of his best things.

My grandfather’s funeral was the first time I remember emotionally crying. It was more like uncomfortable wailing.

I have told you about my troubled relationship with my father. My Grandfather was in many ways my male role model.

He loved nature. He was a semi-pro baseball player. He was a Marine in WW1. He worked in the post office. He never learned to drive a car.

We experience many different emotions at events like funerals and weddings.

No matter what, our eternal home and our Heavenly Father should be our focus.
