I wonder if they still feel the awe we felt when we were their age. I don’t think so.

True also about our old stuff. That’s how yard sales were invented. Glad our junk is someone else’s treasure.

Silent Night.

Ah, Christmas carols of my youth.

Yes, radio stations played the songs and I loved them.

The serious songs appealed to me more. Away in the Manger, Holy Night.

I sang in the choir in Junior High and Senior High. I was a tenor. I had a very nice falsetto voice. Easier to stay on tune.

Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer are fun.

I associate them with Winter and the coming of snow. I miss winter weather in Chicago.

I don’t miss having to shovel snow.

White Christmas with Bing Crosby is a great movie. White Christmas is a beautiful nostalgia song for me.

Ho Ho Ho and Merry Christmas. 🎄

Because we were raised in a different era where there was less distractions I believe that’s why kids are tuned out or not tuned in to the things that meant so much to us when we were youngsters and ulcers. I just went out in my shed and took three huge men’s that hold many objects that I used every year for the last 55 years at least. I’m giving them to Petty’s daughter-in-laws as they do not have a collection like I do. I’m happy to give them up and they revealed things in my shed that I had forgotten about long ago. Things that I treasured at one time or another are now just hanging or packed away for whoever they land up living with ultimately.
