Don’t know whether I’ve told you, but my grandfather would sit in his rocking chair every day, studying the Bible. A study guide that he loved to use was Hurlbut’s Story of the Bible, a book to help children to learn the Bible, but he loved referring to it and sharing stories with me.

I ws asked: how can you believe there’s a God when you can’t see him?

My response: I believe there are Home Depot employees.

A part of this is due to a misunderstanding of scripture and just fear run rampant.

The Bible is not a book of doom and gloom, but of revelation and truth and the world of the Lord and not man.

Man is flawed and given to despair and fear. Only God is the answer and only God is the truth. The truth that will set us free if we can accept it and grow to believe.
