Hi Raoul,

Amen to your bottom line. I am one who paid the price for an expensive Ivy League degree and it is even more expensive today than it was then. I am concerned about online classes. I. have taught four of them, but they are not the same as being in the classroom and on the campus with professors and fellow students. Online education which is very common and popular now and saving a lot of money for full-time faculty and facilities, but the best learning experience is lost. I learned more or as much from my contacts with professors in their offices or their homes as well as the ability to build often life-time friendships with fellow students who challenged my perspectives and helped me articulate them more accurately. Again, online classes have some value, but they do not compare with in person and in class on campus courses. I was blessed to have in person contact with many professors at the University of Edinburgh, Heidelberg University in Germany, and at Harvard University.

Thanks for your challenging words. It does seem like there are those who want to destroy so much of what I love and appreciate about this country. Hopefully the next four years will make it possible to have a more positive view of our future as a country and the ability to express our faith more effectively.

Blessings to you and your wife!

You know I was a wizard when DOS was the operating system. When Windows came in, then I began to slip. Nothing was better than Word Perfect to me.

What you are talking about with Starlink, goes beyond my understanding. People use their Bible apps and digital media. I use my physical Bibles. When I send verses, I don’t cut and paste, I type it out. I don’t highlight my Bibles either, I just take notes in a notebook.

My friend Ed is a student teacher. He told me his students just play on their phones and don’t listen to him at all. Don’t take notes. Don’t read books.

The Times They Are a Changing. The Dylan song I like best is Not Dark Yet.

“It’s Not Dark Yet, But It’s Getting There.”

We should be optimistic about God’s Word and the Resurrection to Come. Keep the Faith, Mi Amigo!!!

Hilarious tie in to SPAM.

ILLUSTRATIONS SUPER as always.

You're right....we.must.be patient with chance but not change our core values.

Good line about online education.. A wealthy grandmother was willing to fork out big dollars for grandkid if he would get a degree at Stanford. The kid said no, and dropped out of high school. He's a wealthy man now but never learned social skills. He's been married three times and is an alcoholic! Yikes!
