RB - Thank you for such a deep and thoughtful questions. I am sad to say that Walt Mundowsky, the writer of the Bullitt review, is only with us today in spirit and text. I did my best, but apparently unable to find your answer. I'll keep trying and will throw your question out to others who have a fondness for Bullitt. If you continue to search for the answer and find it, please let us know. Ed Boitano

Do you know who played Detective Stanton's wife (woman at his bedside in the hospital)? She looks very much like Steve Ellis's mother who appears dancing in the background in a music video of his hit "Everlasting Love" by Love Affair.

If it's not Ellis's mom, it's her doppelganger.

I've have yet to find any site giving an actress name to Stanton's wife as she only appears in that intense scene while staring at Bullitt (McQueen).

Thanks.
