					<description><![CDATA[Cute article.  The Wienerschnitzel in Whittier (corner Whittier Blvd. and Painter) has the best soft-serve in the area.  Wieners weren’t part of my low-salt diet, but I’d go there regularly for soft-serve ice cream.

BTW, being a German word, the “W” in Wienerschnitzel is pronounced like a “V.”  My grandparents were German, and even though they were quite young when they came to America, they never lost their adorable German accent.  The family loved it when my Grandma said she wanted a Weeping Willow tree, and Granddaddy’s response was:  “Voman, vhat in der God’s vorld do you vant mit a veeping villow?”
