You and [wife] got the booster shots for your Jewish friends --- now you deserve an award for that. Good for you.

In reply to <a href="https://travelingboy.com/travel/sick/#comment-26821">Vanessa</a>.

Thanks Vanessa.

I applaud you and [husband's] dedication to stay healthy. I'd follow your regimen if I had the patience to collect all that. I admit I'm lazy when it comes to food. Really! Sometimes, I'm too lazy to even eat. 😁

Yeah, I know I'm a hopeless case.

I'm going to post your email on the TravelingBoy website so others can benefit from your research.

Blessings!

In reply to <a href="https://travelingboy.com/travel/sick/#comment-26819">Margaret</a>.

Hi Margaret.

It was mild. More of an inconvenience rather than pain. Almost back to normal except I'm developing a dry cough. I think I got off the meds too early. Hopefully, this too will go away.

I realize there are anecdotes to attest to different theories. Mine is just one among them. I do not recommend this to everybody.
I don't think COVID is funny but I don't think we need to live in fear. Just this past few days the CDC reversed its earlier assertions ... yet again. They are experimenting with thousands of lives.

Only time will prove (to me at least) whether having Covid indeed develops one's immunity.

Glad you read my emails despite our difference of opinion. This free discourse is what makes America different from many other countries. I appreciate your feedback.

Blessings!

Sorry you have Coronavirus — or maybe I’m not sorry, because acquiring this disease was on your bucket list. I just hope it doesn’t turn out to be the long Covid or cause any lasting effects. As you say, you’re strong and healthy, so I’m betting you’re already feeling much better. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I’m thinking of you. L

Hi Raoul and welcome to the Covid club. I am praying that you will have a mild case only and recuperate and recover 100% in a short time. You probably know but [husband] and I both came down with it a year ago and have been healthy and fine since then despite being exposed to many people who actively had it in our presence. We have been working on immune boosting protocols for the last 2+ years and believe that they have helped us heal, recuperate and not develop the virus again. Natural immunity is amazing. If you don’t mind me giving you some of our protocols & strategies I would love to do so.

Here are some of the supplements we have been taking for 2+ years, many of them have been ongoing but a few were added December 2020 After cases started popping up of the virus:

vitamin D3 and K2 combination ( not D2)

Zinc, at least 30 mg daily

A good vitamin C, one that preferably has acerola and bioflavonoids - 1000 to 2600 mg daily. You’ll know if you’ve done too much as it will make you have the runs

Quercetin- This helps vitamin C process and also helps with allergies. We take 100 milligrams but I don’t do it every day, only when I’m exposed to people who’ve been sick or if I’m feeling rundown. We also took it when we were fighting the virus.

A good omega, preferably one from clean fish oil. The one I take is mixed with turmeric which helps with my inflammation.

Warm to hot water with fresh squeezed lemon juice every morning, don’t forget to rinse your teeth.

We also have products with magnesium and take a variety of other supplements. We also take Tony’s tonic that he’s been making for years which helps continue to build your immune system along with good local raw honey. We avoid sugar and only have in moderation. Lots of water and sleep well, we also use melatonin.

When we were sick we also made a hot tea at night with honey and the leaves of Guayaba from our trees. Tony’s sister in Honduras doctor prescribe that for her son when he had Covid.. The antibody treatment is effective also but you need to do it with an a short proximity to coming down with a virus otherwise you won’t qualify for it. Enough of my ranting,. We will be praying for you and God is our great physician and He has given us the ability to heal.

Much love to you and prayers for protection for Jackie and the rest of your family.

I agree in all what you said about Covid and the powers behind it. I have a resourceful family and so we weighed our options. We all had Covid once. We all didn’t get jabbed. But looks like you might have otherwise you would not have been able to travel to the Philippines.

Get well soon!

I disagree with most of what you’ve said. You are lucky your Covid is mild. Those who have died from Covid and their friends and family don’t feel the way you do. Downgrading a potentially fatal illness is not funny. Find something else to joke about.
