I was good and did play a few top rated chess players in the world (I lost generally, but not on a couple of times). I played in Cambridge University in England and Heidelberg University in Germany. I loved the game, but finally had to give it up to finish my PhD and also be a better dad and teacher. For those who do not study the classical and current books on chess, I used to tell them that they could not win, but I would be happy to show them some things on the board. I often would know in the first 4 or 5 moves where my advantage would be and often would say to the novices that I would capture their rook in 4 moves and their queen shortly after that and then it was an unwinable game for them, but I could show them how to deal with the move leading up to those issues. Yes, I was addicted to the game for several years, but only play an occasional game now and then (mostly to help my grand children get into the game. I now always show them how to beat their grandpa and of course allow them to take back poor moves..

“value system” — new to me … but makes sense. You must be real good.

Sooner better than later! The tech for chess is amazing now and clearly follows the decisions of the internationally elite players (I am not bad, but I am not one of those!). In the earlier models, once I know its value system (what it will do in what situation and what it will trade or not), it was not difficult to beat, but now the values are not consistent like before and consequently they are more difficult to beat. I must be as suspicious as you because I agree with what you said.

I didn’t know about that Chinese- Italian connection. For all you know,
those Chinese spy balloons were all they needed to deliver germ warfare.

The book of Revelations predicted the end will come when the values of
the world will be so warped up. It is the Christian who will stand up
against the madness. There will come an event called the Rapture when
all of the true believers will disappear:

I’m not an expert and there are many interpretations of scripture but some things are certain: there will be a great tribulation (a worldwide calamity) the anti-Christ will be known. The true Christians will be raptured (taken up) to heaven just before the tribulation and be spared from the disaster. Many think they are saved and think they know what it
means to be a Christian but really are not. They will remain after the rapture and only then will some realize the true meaning of faith in Jesus Christ. If not for them ALL will be lost because it is the Christians who are keeping the evil at bay. When the true believers disappear, the crazies will destroy themselves.

This is why it’s so important to educate the lost about Christ. I pray for you. I pray for our loved ones. I pray for all of us. I believe there is an absolute truth. People want to believe otherwise to justify their actions — they are brainwashed and blinded from common sense … to continue doing wrong out of convenience. We should not determine truth out of human understanding nor by majority opinions but we should base it on what scripture says. There is a reason why it has survived
thousands of years despite all the changing whims of morality.

Sorry. I got carried away. I just wanted to give you hope even in the midst of the coming apocalypse.
