It is the dog thing..I never liked dogs..of other people unless they are my friends and the dogs are friendly. Some can be so un nerving like the dogs of my close friend..who will come to me and snarl right in front of my pecker..and my friend will just tell me it is OK..it is not OK and I stopped going to his place..it also helped that he lived a bit farther away..

In the states, dogs seem to be "friendlier"..like the dog of my friend who stayed in Texas..first time I met the dog (a Lab) and I was able to pet it..Maybe askals are less friendly and more fierce LOL!!
reminds me of a dog joke...you put your wife and your dog in the car's trunk and lock it..after 10 mins, you can see that it is only the dog who is happy to see you when you open the trunk

Hi Raoul!

Nice comments about dogs. Loved it. I have been thinking of getting one lately. My family always had dogs when I was growing up, but no one took them to a vet if they got sick. The dogs got what was left over at our table as well! We loved the dogs, but never would have thought of spending thousands of $$ for surgeries, etc. etc. on them. I have a friend who spent $30,000 for surgery for his dog and it still died.

The joke about the "Wailing Wall" needs some correction. 1. The Jews call it the "Western Wall" and are offended when we call it a wailing wall. It got its name from the active prayer movements that some Jews (not all) have when they pray. Some said it is like "praying in the Spirit for some Christians. 2. There are no hotels that overlook the wall. and 3. men and women are separated at the wall. There is a smaller place for women to the right side when facing the wall. Women cannot approach the wall on the male side.

Obviously, I thought the joke was cute and funny, but for those who have been to the wall many times, it does not fit the context. Nevertheless, keep up the good TGIF postings. I love it. You have many good thoughts weekly.

Blessings to you and your wife!

My Dog’s name was Patches. After my parents divorced, my mother and I moved to Lake County in Illinois. North of Chicago. A rural area. Patches was my only friend. We walked around a Lake and through fields. Loyal and smart. Miss him to this day.

Dog, God spelled backwards. Never thought of that. Loyal to a fault
