Living in Babylon<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Warning: political and religious topic. Move on to the jokes if you\u2019re not in the mood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I must have written 2 pages worth of articles for today but I threw them away. I wanted to talk about how messed up our world is but I didn\u2019t know where to begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This reminds me of an HOA community nearby that had neglected fixing their roofs and their roads for years. During the recent rains, I heard that almost all the roofs leaked and the runoff water created potholes. They have so many problems, they don\u2019t know where to start fixing the mess. Our country\u2019s in the same kind of mess. Well done politicians!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I thought about staying away from the news and social media. But then I wondered if it was better to close my eyes riding a bus swerving erratically. Is it better to be ignorant and wait for the crash? Nah!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people driving this nation should have their licenses removed. Where do you start to fix the mess that they\u2019ve given us? How do you even write about it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So that\u2019s my excuse for this very short article. I’m exasperated!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re going through the book of Daniel in our church. Daniel was captured by the Babylonian army when he was probably in his teens. We can assume he was raised by godly parents because Daniel never abandoned his faith even amidst the debauchery and temptations that surrounded him. He served in three different regimes and he did not just survive — he thrived and blessed the people that surrounded him. Let\u2019s think like Daniel. Let\u2019s be a beacon to this lost world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
