No not bad luck - Cat of Nine Lives is cultural. Shakespeare referred to it. Interesting history - Spanish say seven , some say six. Cats always land on their feet; 3 to play, 3 to stray and 3 to stay. Asians have them as lucky 8, or 3 X 7, holy Trinity X 3. Of course they only have one life, just a myth of course. Tawny cat looked to ordinary in photo - I had a tawny cat as a boy, until I found out I am very allergic to cat palin - that from dry saliva from them licking their fur. saliva, dries and floats in the air. Dogs somewhat, but not as bad. Dog gone! I Enjoyed your column . Wednesday we went to see our daughter receive a special Commendation Award for teaching at her school - Woodruff Elementary School in Bellflower. Over 25 years - yikes! The student body assembly was out in the school yard. She has a room of 30 - 1st graders! I still enjoy hearing our little Nettie Belle called, "Ms. Kumamoto" Alert and cheerful children. Jesus loves the little children. Pics to follow. I noticed many encouraging and positive signs posted - and some that you would have appreciated - about Not Bullying.

Nice collection of insights. Indeed there is a lot of behind the scenes
moments.

Black cat? Why? Bad luck?

TGIF! Happy Easter!

Love it Raoul that you possess the Faith and Courage to comply with the Good Friday we Celebrate. Some think we are not to express our Faith but in my humble opinion my Faith is the most important thing not only in this life but forever in Eternity, God Bless!

Viewed the move, "Paul the Apostle" and found it fulfilling in describing the beginnings of Scripture in a Roman Cell.

Happy Easter to you and Yours.

Thank you Brother,

Great thoughts. Heard Dr. Corey - Dean at Biola University, (Did you know that BIOLA stands for Bible Institute of Los Angeles?) keynote speaker at the Whittier Mayor's Prayer Breakfast this morning speaking about his book," Kindness". He said Kindness and nice are not the same. Nice is not in the Bible. Kindness is not a random act -, it is intentional. Kindness reaches outside of people that are just like us. I had another thought; it was kind that Jesus washed his disciples feet, something that a master never did. That is why Simon Peter protested. But the Word says that Jesus washed all Twelve Disciples Feet = 24. That means that he even washed Judas feet - both of them, and it doesn’t say that he pinched Juda's heel even! Even though he knew that Judas was the betrayor! That is kind beyond what most humans could endure. One more thought: on Easter Sunday the stone was not rolled away so Jesus could get out - but so that We could get in - Halleluiah! After all, Jesus went to the Disciples where they were hiding in the closed room afterwards without opening the door! Jesus can even open a closed heart - share him with everybody.

Parting thought - the photo with the boy reading the book - the cat should be black - just a thought.

Happy Easter to you and yours,

RAOUL,

THANKS for skipping the jokes today. Let me share my thoughts with you: The next time you look at the crucifix, don't think of Christ's pain, suffering, or death. Think, instead, how much He loves.....us.

Always a good read. It is amazing to me how cruel people people can be to one another. It takes so little energy to smile and sooo much to frown. People have the power to change themselves and any negative behavior they have if they want to change. Happy Easter.
