Beautiful Day
Is it a beautiful day in the neighborhood? So many problems in the world today — more than enough to drive anyone crazy — so I thought we should focus on our countless blessings instead.
We’ve got internet access (you’re reading this, right?). We’re still breathing. We’ve got a roof over our heads. We can still purchase and eat to fill our stomachs. Animals, birds and mountains still provide a fabulous glimpse of nature. The world is still spinning on its axis. The universe is intact.
This afternoon, as I was walking our corgis outside, I saw my granddaughter’s head popping out as I passed by her window. She greeted me with her radiant smile. My neighbors driving by waved and smiled. I felt like Mr. Rogers. The fragrant flowers lost me in their natural perfume. When I got home I grabbed a cup of chocolate ice cream, added fresh strawberries and nuts. Now I’m planning a nice surprise dinner for my happy wife. Last night she ate two servings of my original concoction of ground pork with veggies. What will it be tonight?
I feel like singing zip-e-dee-doo-dah! My oh my, what a wonderful day. Aren’t you amazed at so many blessings the Lord has given us? Blessings we don’t even deserve! I trust you’re surrounded by His awesomeness — much of which you’ve taken for granted. And the best part? — you don’t have to look hard to find it. I know there are some out there who are going through a lot. My heart goes out to you. I pray that you try hard to count the reasons to be thankful despite all that. Indeed, it’s an amazing day in the neighborhood if you allow it.
TGIF people! I’m blessed to have you as my friends! It’s going to be a wonderful Friday leading to an amazing weekend!
If you like my emails, please do me a favor and spread it around. Thank you!

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood. A beautiful day. Will you be my neighbor?
Chocolate Ice Cream was one of my favorites. Probably why I am diabetic now.
Very positive and happy email. Something wonderful happening in the Pascual household?
I am happy to see the positive energy. Yes, how fortunate we are to have food and living arrangements.
I see so many homeless sleeping on bus benches.
I applaud 👏 your work.
