WARNING: Political topic. Move on to the jokes if you are not into this.
I got an S.O.S. message in one of my chat rooms this morning: a recent graduate of UCLA is “struggling to find” a job. Does that surprise you?
Hiring freeze
It’s okay to protest but do it legally, respect property and be proud to show your faces. So I’m thinking, in light of all these school pro-Hamas protests, which employer would want to hire a “Karen“? All that these fresh grads (coming out of indoctrination schools like UCLA, Berkley, Harvard, NYU, GWU, Columbia, etc.) will do is: complain and slack off, yet expect everyone else to work so they can demand their paycheck on time. The slightest company legal infringement and these righteous brats will sue to win a nest egg for their early retirement.
Did you hear about the “progressive” tech giants who hired “progressive” whiz kids? The kids bit the hands that fed them! Big tech is only now finally realizing that the capitalists they fought hard against were actually themselves. Apple management must be thinking: “we hold the same values why are they attacking us?” Google already fired several employees for their insubordination.
Not only are these university grads unemployable but they now have a massive $60k student debt to boot. Only parent who do not follow the news will want to send their child to those exclusive schools.
I pity the exceptions to the mold — the qualified students who can be an asset to a company now have to disassociate from their schools and prove their innocence.
Brainwash Schools
I’ve always said that these institutions care for their professors more than their students. Their guidance counselors stroke the kids’ egos by encouraging them to dream big instead of presenting the facts of job availability, job salaries and career lifestyles.
I’m glad these overpriced universities have finally been exposed. Even though those cowardly students masked their faces, there’s no way they can hide their school’s 2024 history of violent protests. It’s understandable that the Jewish billionaires are retracting their multi-million dollar support for these universities. They finally realized they were feeding their enemies. They were never part of the “exclusive fraternity.” But don’t expect the administration to change. Their pride won’t allow defeat.
Blue collar workers
Bet you didn’t know this: Many blue collared workers earn more than these college grads plus they don’t even have any student debt. In California the Fast Food employees earn $20 an hour. Plumbers, handymen, mechanics, electricians, etc. make about $150 an hour and many of them are always busy. I know of a lineman who used to make $224k in one year. I know of a house painter who earned enough to pay for college first, then became a dentist and then became a lawyer.
And don’t forget the “uneducated” union boys. You’ve heard the joke: How many union boys does it take to change a light bulb? Answer, five: one to hold the bulb, and four to turn the ladder around clockwise.
There’s a street close to where I live (Santa Gertrudes Street) where the Public Works crew is making a killing because of their poor coordination and planning. Street repairs started last September (nine months ago and counting). I’ve seen them dig out the old asphalt, then cover it with new asphalt, re-dig, cover again with asphalt; they jackhammered the pavement, poured cement, jackhammered again, re-cemented; they painted the road lines using 5 men – one to stretch out a string, one to spray paint, 3 to stand by and look busy. You may laugh but these union guys earn more than minimum wage. And, when AI takes over all the lucrative “college jobs,” these union boys will still have a job working on Santa Gertrudes Street.
Of course there are legitimate degrees that demand higher education. I’m talking about the useless degrees with little job prospects. The education system in America is a mess, the indoctrination institutions are a cancer to society and only a few private schools teach positive moral values like “others before self.”
But this is just me. Do you agree?
TGIF people!

So very True. Your intro says a lot about what is going on in higher education.
Kids coming out of College unable to find work in their field of Study is Concerning.
Thanks for laying it out so very plainly.

Amen to ALL THAT! That is the first thing I thought when I started covering the protesters. They are not looking down the road because there are companies that will never hire them because of what they chose to do. And who supports a terrorist group it’s insane. Israel has been our Ally for many years the only one in the Middle East by the way. I guess people forget stuff like that. Israel is doing what they have to do and I hope they eradicate all of them us because they’re bad bad people.

Hi Raoul,
As one who did graduate from Harvard and several other great schools, it is amazing to me how far to the left they have gone. I remember at Harvard when faculty bent over backwards to make sure conservative students were welcome and not intimidated and let the facts speak. I remember going to a class and one well known faculty member did not know me and said we ll here are liberal, we do not need to address the arguments of the conservatives today. What has taken place since those days and the care the faculty used to take not to offend is long since over.
I have often reminded folks who want to prove through the wisdom of the world the truths of God’s love and grace in Christ and I also cite 1 Corinthians, but specifically 1:21, namely that God did not seek to save us through the wisdom of the world, but through the foolishness of our proclamation which is foolishness to the Greeks (the educated of the day) and a stumbling block to the Jews. We need only proclaim God’s word and it will attract others to the Gospel. I do not hide my head in the sand and appreciate those who show the weakness of the world’s wisdom, but we can never let that be a substitute for the Gospel.
Good comments from you today! I too would want to check very carefully any graduate from these highly prized educational institutions who now only teach us what to think, not how to think.

Good Morning Raoul.
Yeah, them leftist leaders are starting to realize they created monsters and the monsters are starting to knock on their doors. But that’s the only way they will forget how stupid their world views are and repeat.
