“What It Looked Like”

The Rolling Stones’ vocalist Mick Jagger, guitarist Keith Richards, drummer Charlie Watts, bassist Bill Wyman and lead guitarist Mick Taylor conquered Europe in their widely acclaimed 1970 tour. The personnel included sidemen Bobby Keys on Saxophone, Jim Price on Trumpet and Trombone,  Nicky Hopkins on Piano, along with occasional piano chords by former co-founding member, Ian Stewart, who had transitioned from the group as the Stones’ road manager.

Songs performed in the three part series: 

Moonlight Mile, Potted Shrimp instrumental, Sympathy for the Devil, Stray Cat Blues, Brown Sugar featuring Eric Clapton (1970 Out-Take), Dead Flowers, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Women, Prodigal Son, Live with Me, and Street Fighting Man.

    I was in college when the Stones were doing their US tour. Jumpin’ Jack Flash was the hit then. And they weren’t that old then. Couldn’t get tickets. Thanks for the video. First time I saw this.

    I’m no groupie although I’ve heard a lot about them. Know people who just love them. But I don’t get it. Mick Jagger just wags his tongue. Eats his words. Shakes anything that shakes. What’s the big deal?

    Also can’t believe he’s still alive.
