Raoul Pascual started doing cartoons for his office mates in his old job as a designer in a marketing/ publishing company in Burbank California. After leaving the company, he decided to keep in touch with his friends by sending them original cartoons based on some joke emails he received.

Raoul’s Two Cents: March 24, 2023Hospital SceneThis week has been a catch-up week. I lost my Monday … I was trapped in a hospital with my friend Logan and my schedule was pushed back. Allow me to share what I observed at the Emergency Facility. I didn’t know I was going to be stuck in the hospital waiting and waiting …
My day started with Betsy, an elderly client who needed help with her email. She is pushing 90 years old and is still doing a little online business with her husband and she needed to find a job order in her pile of emails. Helping her to sort her email was not part of my "job description" but I've done this for her before and I knew no one else would give her the time of day. She said she had been searching for the email for days now which explained her exasperation.
So I wonder what it would be like not to think so much. What would it be like to be an animal? Their focus is just home. So, like any other insomniac, I decide to write a poem.
As my Bible study class neared the end of the book of Hosea, a recurring theme came to mind. I realized despite God’s warning to the Jewish nation about their wrongful obsession with Baal and other false man-made gods, they were too stubborn and lost to help themselves. God even warned them of the dire consequences. But would they listen? Nein! Non! Hindi! No!
I'm getting that same uneasy feeling. I feel I'm being pulled out of my comfort zone again. Today, I'll just be sharing what's "coming down the pike."
In case you haven't heard, there's an ongoing miracle at the Asbury University in Kentucky right this very minute. Thousands are rededicating their lives to God. Just do a search for Asbury Revival 2023 and you'll see a whole lot of articles not covered by the main stream media. You should go if you are near the area. If not, there are other revivals sprouting out in other churches. Even if you are a doubter, go and check it out for yourself. When the Holy Spirit moves, no power on earth can stop it.
I don't want you readers to be ignorant about this technology called Artificial Intelligence. You hear it all the time, but did you know that it is already being utilized by a whole lot of people and it is already available to you? A major player is called ChatGPT. It is a chatbot … a conversation where you engage with Artificial Intelligence.
After dinner last weekend, I attempted to get up from my chair but a stabbing pain ran down from my stomach to the front of my left thigh. I had to grasp the table to lift myself up ever so slowly. In two days, I was at the Urgent Care Facility waiting for a checkup with the doctor. I was surprised to see a female doctor. And I thought “no way is she going to check me down there!” Wasn't there an unwritten rule that male patients only meet male doctors?
In Sunday school last weekend, we were studying an Old Testament prophet named Hosea. In case you don’t know who he is, God gave Hosea a most unusual instruction. God told Hosea to marry a prostitute named Gomer. Say what?! Yup! Hosea married a hot babe who kept on chasing her many lovers even after she was married. Imagine Hosea’s patience and agony living with that sleazy woman who, although knowing better, rejected the message that her own prophet husband preached to the rest of the world.
