Super Bowl Revelation

I have a confession to make. Last week I said I was more interested in the commercials rather than the Super Bowl Game. Well, something unexpected happened.

It turned out that my wife and I tuned in to the game just before half time. We couldn't believe that the great Patriot team was down 28 to zero. After the half time Lady Gaga musical extravaganza, we decided to stick around and watch the slaughter of this legendary team.

It was then that I discovered that the reason my wife never liked American Football was because she never understood the rules. Well, I'm not an expert but I filled her in with the little that I knew. While I was doing that, Tom Brady and his team were inching their way out of their demise. What was going on?!? It was mesmerizing. As the last few minutes ticked by, we were screaming instructions to the inept kicker and some of the defensive linebackers who were not doing their job. If you are a football fan you know that this was probably the most miraculous Super Bowl ever because the Patriots won in overtime. By the end of the game we were die-hard-converted fans. Now we can't wait for the next season.

Isn't it just like any other contest? How can you enjoy the strategy of the battle if you don't know how to "play the game?" Now, when I hear people bad mouth any activity, I'll remember that appreciation only comes after understanding the dynamics of the game. I mean, how can you appreciate opera if no one explains it to you? How can you enjoy Readin', Ritin' and Rithmetic if your teacher doesn't inspire you?

Can't understand why other people refuse to see the obvious? Perhaps a lot of ignorance is really coming --- from YOU! Oooooo!

Hope you like this new TGIF format. It may not be as creative but it's easier to deploy.

TGIF people!

I don't approve of political jokes. I've seen too many of them get elected.

The most precious thing we have is life, yet it has absolutely no trade-in value.

I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.

I am a nobody and since nobody is perfect,
I must be perfect.

I live in my own little world but it's OK;
everyone knows me here.
