Where Have You Been?

SINGAPOREAN FOOD

Did you know that most Singaporeans are gourmets? At least that's what Art, my Singaporean friend, told me. For months he had threatened to treat me to a meal in his favorite restaurant. Well, last Sunday, he did. And boy I was not expecting those amazing dishes. It was a nondescript fast-food box-shaped restaurant in Walnut California. I thought this was such a far place to go for simple food, right? But then when I sipped the soup, my mouth tingled as if dormant taste buds were suddenly awakened from years of bland food. I thought I had tasted pretty much everything but I had never tasted something like that. The spice, the color, the kick came at me like an orchestra of flavors. Even now I am salivating for that concoction.

It was as if the cook mixed the ingredients and stashed the brew away for months to allow the different personalities to mature together. I wished I had more room in my stomach so I could eat forever.

It was so good that the next evening, I brought my wife there and she too was captivated by the flavor. Oh my, Oh my, Oh my!

I think I need to stop now. I'm getting so hungry just thinking about this.

Have a safe and fun 4th of July. I think Canada celebrated their holiday last Wednesday so Happy Canada Day to you folks up North.

I don't think there's much to eat in the kitchen but I'm going to pretend it's Singaporean food. Oh my, Oh my, Oh my!

Where Have You Been?

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Kahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Kahoots with someone.

I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my children, friends, family and work.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often. I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.

One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!

I may have been in Continent, but I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing. They tell me it is very wet and damp there.

Bethlehem Star

Fascinating website about something anyone in the world can still see in the western sky this evening. I saw it last Tuesday night. There was one bright star and a little star right beside it. Might be a good time to visit the Observatory.

Creative design. Not too sure about the space saving but it's definitely cool and a conversation piece.
Imagine your party guests gathered inside your bathroom. Hmmm ...
If you're here in America, have a good safe Fourth of July Folks!

Comments

Yes, have a safe 4th of July everyone. CNN has been asking everyone to be careful.
BTW, in the latest survey, Singapore is the 4th safest country in the world. Sweden of course comes first, as usual. US and Phil. did not even make it to the top 10.

Dette of the Philippines

Nice one but you should have seen that the joke was INN ESCAPABLE.
