Crazy vs. Stupid

Godfather Meets God

Michael began his story with a clarification that the Mafia is not the same as Costa Nostra. The former is the organization based in Italy while the latter is here in the USA and they both keep to their territory. A short clip from opening credits of the gangster movie "Goodfellas" flashed onscreen and there was his name among the notorious bosses.

For about 30 minutes Michael Franzese shared how he grew up thinking the cops were the "bad guys" and his family were the "good guys". Through twists and turns like a Hollywood script he reaches the zenith of his "profession" only to discover the emptiness at the top floor. He meets a beautiful woman who is immune to his charm. Turns out to be a born-again Christian. They eventually get married. This woman and her Mom help him see the world from God's eyes. One day he gets a desperate phone call from HQ and he plans to fly out to meet his fellow Godfathers. Before he gets on the plane, he is arrested and put in prison. Little did he know that God was protecting him because 14 of his "colleagues" were ambushed in that meeting. You need to watch the video.

Do people change? Is there hope for the worst offenders? You bet! Not all stories are as dramatic as Micahel's but they are more common than you think. But what's sad is many sketpics look at these changed individuals and do their best to pull them down to their old world.

Let's be kind. When they no longer follow the crowd, they may actually be heading in the right direction. Help those who are in the process of change. Their uphill battle doesn't need your extra weight.

I have come to the conclusion that politics is too serious a matter to be left to the politicians.

The Difference Between CRAZY and STUPID
Sent in by Tom of Pasadena, CA

A truck driver was doing his usual delivery to the Mental Hospital. He discovered a flat tire when he was about to leave. He jacked up the truck and took the flat tire off. When he was about to replace the flat tire with the spare tire, he accidentally dropped all the nuts into a storm drain. Realizing he couldn't fish the nuts out, he starts to panic.

A patient walking by asks him what happened.

The driver told him his problem. And the patient said "Can't even fix such a simple problem... no wonder you are destined to be a truck driver..."

"Here's what you can do, take one nut each from the other 3 tires and then tighten them on to the spare. Then drive to the nearest garage and replace the missing ones, easy as that!"

The driver was very impressed and asked: "You're so smart but why are you here in a Mental Hospital?"

Patient replied:
"Hello, I am here because I'm CRAZY, not STUPID!"

Wife texts husband on a cold winter morning:
"Windows frozen, won't open."

Husband texts back:
"Gently pour some lukewarm water over it and gently tap edges with a hammer."

Wife texts back 5 minutes later:
"Computer really messed up now!"

Funny clip. I didn't know the ticket place got a percentage of the winning ticket. This isn't roaringly funny but it has its moments.

Also, this was sent in by Rick who lives near the store.

Bezo's Spacefraft

Jeff Bezos doesn't just sell stuff online through Amazon only. He also has this "little" project called Blue Origin that is a stepping stone to Space travel. The 2 big acievements: 1) pinpoint accuracy landing and 2) reusable rocket boosters. If the politicians of the world mess things up, I'm booking the first flight outta here!
