Famous Composer Movie

Championship Rings

There was a Celebrity Golf Tournament last Monday and I did caricatures of some of the "main attractions." One of them was a famous baseball player (who will remain unnamed) who retired in the early 70s with 4 huge Champion rings. I enjoyed talking with him although I was embarrassed for his sake because I didn't have a clue how "important" he was. Baseball isn't my game. When he showed his rings I sensed a disappointment that it didn't mean anything to me even though it looked like "everything to him." It was his legacy.

He said he enjoyed every minute of his career because he was living his dream. The saddest day was when he had to retire.

What is your legacy? Your house? Your dream car? Your family? Your career? Build anything? Paint anything? Start anything? Did you make a dent in the world? Will the generations be better off because you were born?

Should it bother you that you were a pawn instead of a King? May I suggest we all have a purpose? Some more amazing than others. And that purpose is between you and God. And if God wanted you to be a pawn, that's wonderful purpose.

Rick Warren wrote a life changing best selling book. Perhaps you've heard of The Purpose Driven Life? You know what he said? "It's not about you." Oooooh!

Famous Composer Movie

Steven Spielberg contacted Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger and asked if they would appear in a huge film he was planning about famous composers. He said he'd let each one select the composer of his choice to portray.

Bruce Willis said, "I've always been a fan of Mozart and would like to portray him."

Sylvester Stallone said, "I'd like to play the part of Chopin."

Then they all turned to Arnold, who thought a minute and then exclaimed: "I'll be Bach!"
