To Do List

Free Music

I'm having so much fun with Spotify. If you haven't tried it out, you really should. If there was one dream I never thought would be fulfilled, this would be it. I never thought I would see the day when almost any music you want to hear is just a click away. And they're all crystal clear – no need to mess with scratchy LP records, tape cassettes or even CDs. They're all downloadable in your online account. Did I mention that it's free? A close cousin to this app is Pandora where you choose music you like and Pandora's smart algorhythm predicts what other kinds of music you like and create your personal music collection.

So how do musicians and recording studios make money if their work is given away for free? Sure they make big $ in concerts and endorsements but their earning potentials are way below what they used to be.

Despite all that, there are so many budding musicians just waiting to be discovered --- maybe even more than before. Is this the age of the true artist? Will musicians create purely for art's sake rather than money? Maybe.

I see trees of green; red roses too. I hear the tune of songs past and new. And I say to myself: What a wonderful world.

It's a blessing this wonderful (musical) world. TGIF!

Wisdom from Mike of New York
Words of Wisdom

As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,
but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake!

1. Buy four pigs

2. Paint numbers 1,2,3 and 5 on their backs

3. Release them in Walmart

4. Sit back and watch security search for number 4"

Today 2 year olds can unlock an iphone, open and close their favorite apps ... and they do it all by themselves.

When I was that age, I was eating dirt.

Candace Payne Chewbaka

I'm tellin' ya, this lady should be in comedy. Her exuberance and enthusiasm should be bottled to drive away tho blues in your life. Her laughter alone is enough to get you going. I betcha she'll be famous very soon. This video is red hot. It's still climbing in the charts.

PewResearch Test

Essentially, this test tells you if you are worthy of voting this coming election. If you do not know current events, then do us all a favor, and please refrain from voting.
I got only one wrong.

How Wolves Changed Rivers

Wolves changed rivers

Remember when the wolves were introduced back into Yellowstone National Park about 20 years ago? There was a lot of debate about whether or not it was a good thing. How often do we wonder, what the difference one animal can make in the greater scheme of things?

Beggar robbery in India

I don't know if this video is real (I hope not) because it's really funny.

Makes you think twice about helping your fellowman.

USS Laffey WW-II

It's Memorial Day weekend. We should end with this video. An incredible naval footage shot by a Navy cameraman who was in the gun turret under attack. The U.S.S. Laffey, "the ship that would not die" was hit by 6 Kamikazes and 4 bombs, but remained afloat after an 80 minute battle that included 22 Kamikaze attacks. TGIF people!
