Getting to the Point

I finally went to the acupuncturist today. It was my first time. She was a nice elderly Korean lady but English was not her first language. To make matters worse, she was also hard of hearing. It was a comedy of errors. In deliberately slow intonation, I described my back pain and medical history while she read my lips and processed the language in her head. When she realized I wasn't understanding her, she reached out for her photo album of skin allergies. I don't think I've ever seen so many photos of skin diseases in my life. Whoopie! In the process, she knocked down a mountain of books and boxes but tried to look cool and natural. She even fumbled processing my credit card. She had me sign a lot of waivers. When I questioned her about one of the blanks she seemed clueless to the legal jargon. All she wanted me to do was sign.

She led me to a room with a massage bed. I had to strip down to my underwear (good thing I wore clean ones) and told me to lie on my stomach. From that point onwards, I couldn't move for fear that the needles would crack inside me. All I could see was the floor. I could feel her jab those delicate needles on my back, my fingers, my ears and my head. She must have used over 20 needles on each side. It was ticklish more than painful. Then she turned on a machine that warmed up the needles in my back for 20+ minutes. I could feel something was happening. Later I could smell something burning. Finally, she did some cupping therapy.

Maybe that's why I'm so sleepy. I need to sleep. I'm pretty sure I had a good story to share but right now I just wanna sleep. Good night and ... Zzzzz!

Today I donated a watch, a phone and my wallet to a poor guy.

You can't know the happiness I felt as I saw him put his knife back in his pocket ...

What is Celibacy?
Contributed by Tom of Pasadena, CA

Celibacy can be a choice in life, or a condition imposed by circumstances.

While attending a Marriage Weekend, Frank and his wife Ann listened to the instructor declare, "It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other."

She then addressed the men: "Can you name and describe your wife's favorite flower?"

Frank leaned over, touched Ann’s arm gently, and whispered, "Gold Medal-All-Purpose, isn't it?"

And thus began Frank's life of celibacy.
